My dad and I have been Day One supporters of SAMF because we believe in the Sportsmen’s proven ability to build something that’s beloved by our community and bigger than themselves – this is the same spirit behind the Reconnector.”

— Seamus Gallivan

Conceived with intentions of maximum community connection, the Reconnector will be a free and inclusive festival on summer Sunday afternoons, with an array of activity set in public spaces and neighborhoods in and between Delaware and MLK Parks.

By centering the gathering on the people and places living in these areas while encouraging visitors to engage in person – instead of bypassing through highways that have divided the city – the Reconnector will welcome all to participate in restoring the heart of the city.

Featuring: Art – Bikes – Boats – Cars – Dance – Drinks – Film – Food – Forums – Fun – Games – Gardening – History – Makers – Music – Science – Sports – Theater – Tours – Zoo

Debuting in Summer 2020, the Reconnector is currently seeking partners, presenters and volunteers. Contact Seamus Gallivan at to get involved!
