2023 has left us and there were many ups and downs which we hopefully maneuvered with grace and respect.  The good news is, the Foundation did well in accomplishing its mission.  Our continuing education series led us to 6 different music education programs at 3 different sites, including ongoing programs with the Valley Community Center and the Old First Ward Community Center. 108 school aged youth received music instruction on both ukulele and acoustic guitar.

The Foundation coordinated their first instrument petting zoo as part of the OFW Arts & Heritage Festival where music learners of all ages had an opportunity to learn and explore new instruments from the violin to dobro.

The Foundation sponsored a concert for The Buffalo Girl Choir in the Buffalo Science Museum Auditorium, along with sponsoring our annual Folkfaces Festival in Darian, New York.

We’ve matched funds for a Fundraiser for Matt’s Music to send a group of young vocal students to Nashville for a series of workshops and tours.  We are continuing our partnership with a mentor program at the Wellsville Center for The Arts, with a recital on a Pre-Twang Gang Foundation Night at Sportsmens, along with an annual scholarship given to an outstanding student via the Buffalo Jazz Collective.

New – we will be working with The Ralph Wilson Foundation and Love Supreme School of Music – stay tuned.

Thank you!
